An A-Z Story - A

It's here! Day 1 of the A-Z Challenge 2013, and all around the globe bloggers are kicking off an explosion of lexicographical fun. (A bit like those busy little ants there.) For my second time doing the Challenge, I wanted to do something fun that would push me as a writer. My theme also means I can't preplan any posts (well, apart from this one). It will require audience participation, but I won't make you work too hard!

In the comments section, I want you to give me words beginning with A. As many as you like, and they can be as obscure and outlandish as you like (feel free to use a dictionary for inspiration). I will randomly select FIVE of these words to use in the first sentence of my story, which I will post tomorrow and then ask you to suggest B words. This process will repeat until we get to Z (which I will post my sentence for on May 1st).

In the event of there being less than five words, I will use all words offered. The more words you suggest, the more chance you have of one being picked. It doesn't matter if you suggest the same word as someone else (as I know not everyone always has time to read all the comments); each will count as its own entry.

Hopefully that's clear! I really can't wait to see where this takes us, and I know it's going to be fun.

So, with all that said - fire away with your words beginning with A!
