Music worked as a great teaching tool to reinforce classroom lessons, because if kids have fun singing a song, they'll remember the words. As for not knowing many chords, not a problem. Most of Johnny Cash's songs use only three chords... C, F, and G7. That's it! Nice to re-meetcha.
